Strawberry Picking for 2021

Update 5/21/2021:

  • We will have buckets for you to pick in and will be washing them between each customer.

  • We ask that you bring a container to take your berries home in, and if you don't have anything to use, we have new, clean flats for you to purchase for $0.50 each.

  • We will be able to help those who need help in getting to the fields, and will be able to assist in bringing large quantities of berries out of the field for those that need the help, however we are asking that you be patient with us as we make sure we are following the social distance requirements.

  • We will be updating other changes as we get closer to picking.

Always visit our website or our Facebook Page before you go to the farm!

Strawberries are affected by weather. And when they are in season, the fields may be picked clean by NOON! Our facebook page is updated as the conditions change.

  • Part the leaves with your hands and pick only the berries that are fully red.
  • If you are not using your berries immediately, plan your picking during the coolest part of the day.
  • Strawberries keep longer when picked in cooler weather.
  • Berries picked during the heat of the day become soft, are easily bruised and will not keep well, but are great for making jam or used immediately.

When you get home:

  • DON'T wash the berries until you are ready to use them. Washing makes them more prone to spoiling.
  • Put a couple of days supply into the fridge, wash and cut the caps (green tops) off the others and freeze! (Unless you're going to use them immediately)
  • Visit our Recipes page for ideas.
